REZA Food Services
Background
Reza Food Services was created in 1994. The company exclusively owns and operates all McDonald’s restaurants in the Western and Southern regions of Saudi Arabia. It’s 100% Saudi owned, all business decisions are locally made, and revenues are reinvested in the local economy.
Products and services
The first McDonald’s restaurant in the region was opened in 1994, in the Hamra store on the Jeddah Corniche. Today, there are around 162 McDonald’s restaurants in Jeddah and across the Western and Southern regions of KSA, including in other major centres such as Medina, Mecca, Yanbu, Tabuk and Jizan. Further expansion will follow soon.
McDonald’s is now a household name in the region, and actively supports the community in a number of ways. Charity organisations supported include Al Mahrat Center, King Abdul Aziz Medical City, Princess Al Jawhara Center at King Abdul Aziz University and Um Al Qura Association. McDonald’s KSA is also involved in various sports events that promote an active lifestyle, including sponsoring marathons and football tournaments, as well as organising the McMile Run.
The food and drink is 100% Halal, and of the highest quality, with the majority of ingredients sourced locally and regionally. All suppliers must adhere to strict global official benchmarks as well as McDonald’s internal standards, product specification and farm biosecurity policies. In addition, they must also conform to social responsibility policies.
As well as tasting delicious, all foods are rich in vital nutrients, and can easily fit into a healthy, balanced diet.
